Broken cable with the notebook power adapter

A few months ago my cable of my Dell Inspiron 1545 AC Adapter is broken.
It is probably a chair was to blame. This has split the protective shell.

In the beginning there were occasional interruptions, until finally nothing left.
Determined to spend less than 50 € for a new Dell Inspiron 1564 AC Adapter just for the cable, I began to remove the sheath.
I realized that there were dealing with a coaxial cable. The plus-minus leader encases the head. Between them there is an insulator.

This really just made everything more difficult.

I tried the two ends with a little extra wire.
This hilt for a few months.

Then again dropouts.
The real problem with my cable cut, that he is about 4cm in front of the Dell Studio XPS 1645 AC Adapter itself happened - and there is a break protection already included. Thus you have to deal with the wire very carefully to not always follow the directions to get Dell Inspiron 6400 AC Adapter.
So I had to cut off a part of the fracture protection in order to reach more wire, and so as to not destroy yet more wire.
The two wire ends are already 2cm apart, so I had to be bridged with an additional cable to connect.

Again, the whole loosely held one to two months.

Well, the break erwei?t but more and more to the death of my PSU, because again, the solder joint (due to the constant packing and unpacking) is broken.

The whole will already look very bad. I do not think I can often fix it yet ...

In the picture you can see the white insulator of the coaxial cable very well.
My L?tkünste can of course also much to be desired.

I think it sucks anyway, having to buy because of a broken cable, a new Dell Studio 1558 AC Adapter.
